Adriaan Severins (1990) is an audio maker and an emerging farmer.
In his artistic practice, he connects creative, mental, and ecological processes. Always starting from a predefined context, he adds something, removes something, or questions something — each time with the aim of setting in motion what previously seemed stuck.
He will further develop this research in the coming seasons as an artist-in-residence at cultural center De Warande in Turnhout. In addition, together with KDG Antwerp and Diak Helsinki, he is building an international program focused on the impact of artistic processes in healthcare.
He has created work and collaborated with, among others, Bruno Vanden Broecke, Ans Mertens, Fien Leysen, Guy Vandromme, Maika Garnica, Suzanne Grotenhuis, Elena Peeters, Gideon Hakker, Annelies Van Hullebusch, and Wanda Eyckerman.
Alongside his own work, Adriaan curates the label wadi, a platform for circular music, and, together with many volunteers in Lille, he is developing the food forest De Kwacht.
